When men began to increase on the earth
daughters were born to them…
The Sons of God saw that the Daughters of Man were fair
and they made wives of those they chose.

So, the Sons of God lived with the Daughters of Man,
who bore them offspring,
and the Nephilim, or giants, appeared on earth…
These were the Heroes of old, and later also,
Mighty Men of renown.

The Lord said, “My Spirit will not always endure
in man for he is flesh, let his days be numbered
one hundred and twenty years.”
